The Latin name means “sugar destroyer”. Used as an aid to heal and strengthen the pancreas in type II diabetes (adult onset). Applying this herb directly to your tongue will anesthetize your sugar receptor taste buds for an hour or more and thereby help suppress sugar cravings.
